The Pottery Studio
The pottery studio has many connotations. Our first ventures in school classrooms, clay centers and individual pottery studios morph into variations on the theme. Garages, service porches, spare bedrooms and barns often turn into “studios” as the pottery making spirit takes over. I like to refer to the studio as the workshop, others prefer different terms. The term pottery studio however has become synonymous with the place where it all takes place. The making of Pottery.
I am in the process of moving my residence to an amazing location in Driggs, Idaho with views of my home mountain Grand Targhee. Pottery making has always been with me but I had somehow become lost when it comes to my pottery life. I allowed middle age dilemas, financial debts, student loans and changing values confuse me. I have found my North again as they say. My family is the best a person could ask for and now I am back doing what I love to do most; Making pottery and sharing the experience with others. My family has found a beautiful place in Teton Valley and through the help of a remarkable friend I will be able to make pottery in my home studio again. This blog site is the place where I will be recording the re-establishment of TBivins Pottery Studio.
